I'm going to write about this last week and this coming week.
Last Tuesday we hit the 16 week mark. I've been eating avocados a lot lately and so when Alex asked how big out baby was and I told him about 4-1/2 inches, 3.5 ounces and around the size of an avocado...he told me I could not eat our baby. It took me a second to figure out why he was telling me I couldn't eat baby but I got a good laugh out of it. Never being pregnant before this is definitely been an adventure so far, and not just for me, but also for Alex. I have found myself waking up in the middle of the night a lot more. I'm staying warmer and feeling a bit more energy as I go through out my day. Occasionally I have a random mood swing which drive me crazy when I catch myself. Baby has started to wiggle even more than before and getting bigger...faster, thus causing me to start gaining weight.

This last week we took the cub scouts to the police station for a tour. The boys really enjoyed getting to meet Hulk the K-9 and they all were fingerprinted.

On Friday we went to the temple for Trish & Russell's wedding. I am so happy that we got to attend their sealing and see their happy faces even though I really had to fight back the tears... It's hard to believe my little sis is married but she found a wonderful young man that she can take with her into the eternities.

As we approach week 17 has grown another half inch but is starting to put on body fat. He/she has gained an ounce to an ounce and a half and is about the size of a large onion. This last week baby decided to stretch out. I could feel a head on one side and two little feet on the other. This was a neat but weird experience all in one. Baby was also kicking hard enough that Alex was able to "kind of" feel it. I guess it's still not strong enough to really feel that much from the outside but its definitely there.

It's hard to believe we've made it almost half way but I'm grateful, just means I'm that much closer to holding baby in my arms rather than my tummy!
