One thing I've learned in the short time that I've been married is that most things don't go as planned and yet, somehow, it seems to bring us closer together as a couple. A couple weeks after getting married we went up to the office in Auburn. One of the nights we got to drive up to Seattle and go through the musium of science fiction and music. It was so cold walking around in the rain, coat or not. The next day Alex went to work and I stayed at the motel and worked on our wedding album.
It was nothing but cold and windy, in fact the rain was blowing sideways past our window. The next morning we got up and went to breakfast at Denny's. When we got back to the hotel we parked under the cover and ran upstairs to grab our stuff and change. We drove up to the Seattle Temple and went though a session. I had never been to this temple and was so excited 6 down, 63 more to go (so far) before I die. I won't say it was great weather but it was better than it had been.

Our drive home was rather wet. Once we hit Olympia it looked like a tropical storm had blown in, there was things flying all over the place, water standing on the roads at least a couple inches deep and drivers that couldn't stay in their lanes. I was so grateful when we made it home that night where it was safe and warm.
