Before the show started there was a guy walking around handing out guitar picks. Each one said Trans-Siberian Orchestra on one side and had a members signature on the back. Mine had Derek Wieland's name. He is the back pianist for the original group that toured through Portland.
My favorite part is when the snow came down...it's not fake paper stuff, it's real ice made and blown out over the crowd, and then all the lasers going back and forth and hitting the snow flakes and fog. My mother in law has always wanted to touch one of the guitarists hands. Alex told her it probably wasn't going to happen because they normally go up the steps one row back from where we were...well just by chance they decided to run up the steps right by our isle and my mother in law got to touch his hand as he ran by. She was so excited! I know I wasn't supposed to but I got a picture while two of the guitarists were on a platform dangling from the ceiling in the back.
What a fun night!
