8 Weeks and Counting...

Today we have hit eight weeks and our baby is sure growing. now that our baby has little ping pong paddles for arms and legs, he/she is growing fingers and toes. Okay so I'm giddy about all the little things, I mean, come on, this is our first baby. :-) With as much excitement and I have about this, I can not say that the last week was easy. I started fighting minor morning sickness two weeks ago, unfortunately it has only gotten worse. In the morning I usually do okay as long as I got enough food down in me the night before. When evening rolls around is when I start feeling all yucky and stuff. I have pretty much turned into a vegetarian which is beyond gross in my opinion but okay. I've started making a list of things that I can and can't eat, unfortunately many things change by the day making it hard to avoid stuff that makes me sick. I love apple juice and it was recommended to me that I try drinking ginger ale...the non-alcoholic stuff of course. These two things have helped keep me hydrated and settle my stomach. I also love the salt on both Ritz and saltine crackers. Yogurt seems to be okay most days and I LOVE fruit. Speaking of fruit our baby is about the size of a raspberry this week...
From crown to rump measuring about .61" our baby still looks a little like an alien. Also forming this week would be the eyelids, upper lip, ears, and soon to to be nose.

8 Weeks Pregnant

I am counting down the days till the ultra sound so that we can find out if it's a boy or girl (beginning to mid June). We are working on putting together a list of things we have an things we'll need to get so that we can buy them over time and not have to spend the money all at once.

  2. I HAD NO IDEA YOU'RE PREGNANT!!! Congratulations girl!!! I'm so excited for you! I too had some morning sickness and it's not too uncommon to eat pickles to fight the nausea. Believe it or not, and it can sound really gross, but pickles started to be a daily snack for me. When are you due?!

  3. Jess my husband found the lollipops online but that is the only place and I don't feel like paying for shipping on them. Something else that is really helping is chewable papaya enzymes. They help break down the food faster and thus helping prevent nausea and vomiting.

Kayla,I'm due November 2nd. It was originally Halloween but they changed it. I'm not that far along and now that I have stuff to help the nausea it's going pretty well. Mainly I'm just dealing with being really tired a lot.
