Being Sunday I like to sit back and reflect on the past week, what went well and what I could have done better. The thing I like to think of most is what I'm grateful for; here are just a few things I am thankful for (in no particular order)...
1. I am thankful for Joseph Smith. He being a young boy had the faith to ask and through him the lord restored the church and gave me the ability to be grateful for so many other things.
2. I don't think I could ever be grateful enough that I am sealed to my husband for all time and eternity. The whole "till death do you part" thing just isn't enough for me. I know that Heavenly Father wants families to be together forever and therefore he gave worthy priesthood holders the ability to seal families for all time and eternity.
3. I'm grateful for the atonement. I can not imagine walking in Christ's shoes, feeling all the pain and sorrow for each one of our sins. He IS the greatest big brother anyone could ask for!
4. I'm so grateful for this Child of God soon to be in my arms. For many years now I've dreamed of being a mom and now that I have a wonderful husband to help me be everything I can be, it all seems so unrealistic some days. I'm also grateful for the little kicks and squirms that baby does....even if they do sometimes hurt.
5. I'm grateful to have wonderful parents that taught me good from evil and blessed me with the opportunity to go through the temple when I was 5 and be sealed to them for all time and eternity.
6. I'm grateful for the many temples that have been built here on the earth. I'm also grateful that we have one so close and that I don't have to get on an airplane to get to the temple.
7. I'm grateful for our cat...even if she can be a pain in the rear some days. She brings me lots of joy for the most part and I love watching her be a "fruit" as she rolls around or stands on her two back feel at our front window looking out.
8. I'm grateful for the sun...and I rather enjoy soaking it up on the days that it is out.
9. I'm grateful for uplifting music, especially "we're sisters" by Tyler Castleton and Cherie Call. This song has brought me to tears so many times knowing that while we are all different, we ALL are God's children.
10. I'm grateful for food...I've always been grateful for food but now that I'm pregnant I'm REALLY grateful for it. Baby also likes to remind me if it's been too long since I've eaten by kicking my stomach real hard. :-S
I have so much more to be grateful for that I could never list it all!
We are very grateful that our Heavenly Father gift you to us!
