So most people look at me and still say "you look small for being 24 weeks along"...well I'm not really that small, I just choose to wear bigger shirts and stuff to cover the fact that I'm LOPSIDED. This little man has decided he needs to cradle himself down into my pelvic bone and stick his head/shoulders out my front right side. It's funny on days he starts pushing because you can really tell (I pray he doesn't do it while I'm out and about). Anyways Tuesday Alex and I had to run around to get some groceries and stuff for the market this upcoming weekend. Luke decided about half way through the day that he needed to pinch off a major nerve in my right side. Most the time if he pinches the one that runs down into my leg its slightly painful and hard to walk but doesn't last long. This time he must have laid right on the cluster that is by my right hip bone and he refused to move. I have never been in so much pain in my life, my whole right leg tightened up and my back felt like someone was hitting me with a hammer. We got all our shopping done and got home. After dinner and working on our sun shades for our tent I came back inside and almost in tear curled into a ball on the couch with a pillow and blanket. Alex got me to come sit down and he worked on my back for a little while. All I could do was cringe. He had me lay on the floor and prop my tummy up with a pillow so he could pop my back. When he got done popping my back I felt so much better. I don't think I've ever felt like such a big baby in my life.
Yesterday Alex and I decided to work out in the yard. I got our little cherry tree cut back up again so it looks even and he mowed the front yard. Then we went to work on the back yard. This has been our biggest goal/project yet. Back in February we got a decently warm weekend and with the help of a couple friends we tore down our shed and broke up the two concrete pads that were in our back yard. Unfortunutly the good weather did NOT stick around but the piles of rubble sure did. We had to get them out of the yard a few weeks back so we could have the cubscouts over. All the wood and junk went right back where it started...across the back of the yard in attempts to kill all the weeds where the garden may one day be put in. Well all that wood got pulled up, sorted into burn or junk piles and then loaded up. We called the dump and they said it would be $10 for the entrance fee + $0.04 for each pound we off loaded. Since wood is dense we figured it would be anywhere from 1000 to 1500lbs costing us $50-60 at least. Alex also called the wood recycling place just down 503. He told them the measurements of the trailer and they told him it would be about $20 for the whole load...talk about a deal! We strapped everything down, hooked the trailer to the Jeep and went down. This place is really neat, they take lawn clippings, tree branches, and all sorts of other stuff. The pile of tree clippings alone had to be a good 30+ feet tall along with the piles of wood and the best part was, it was only $13.50 for the whole trailer load, we will definitely be taking stuff there more often.
Now that our back yard is starting to look better I'm focusing on the market for this weekend. Unfortunatly along with Friday and Saturday we got roped into doing it Sunday too :( I'm hoping that the harvest days will help bring people in because the last few weeks seem to be mainly the same people just out on their Saturday morning walk who either already know what they want or don't want anything at all which makes the business a bit slow. Once we get more of the back yard done I'll have to take a few more pictures and post them!
