This last week has flown so fast. It has been over a week since I started having 'real' contractions, since I made that phone call to my midwife, since I landed my butt in the hospital with a butt down baby. I can not begin to describe what joy all that pain has brought into my life.

He loves his car seat.

Still getting used to tummy time.

Alex's mini me...such a tiny guy!

Luke is now a week old and is growing so fast. In the first week of life he has made leaps and bounds of progress. We can see the little wheels in his head constantly turning. Here are some of his accomplishments...

~ He can hold his head up for a while (he was doing this before we left the hospital).

~ He makes lots of funny faces.

~ He is starting to grab for things (his depth perception is still a bit off).

~ He has started smiling here and there.

~ He has started sleeping in the cradle rather than the car seat.

~ He can track an object as it's moved around in front of him.

~ He has started giggling in his sleep (this is mommy's favorite).

~ He lost less than half a pound and has already gained back the weight in less than a week.

~ He can finally stretch his legs out (this was a challenge after being born folded in half).

~ He can sleep through ANYTHING, this includes a cub scout pack meeting with 20+ boys and all their families.

Amongst these are many more that I know have happened but I can't think of right now. He's getting better at going back to sleep after night time feedings although sometimes he decides he needs to be cuddled and mommy gives in and cradles him in her arm and falls asleep with him. We love him so very much and are grateful to have this little addition to our family. I will try and do better at posting things but I don't make any promises as we are becoming busier with Alex's business. Thanks for stopping in!
