99% of the time, Luke has a rather healthy diet. Yes he likes french fries and a chip or two but he east quite a bit of fresh fruit and veggies, oatmeal and toast, steak and potatoes, etc. This morning I realized that we have whip cream. We've been wanting to make crapes for a few weeks but it's just not the same with out the whipping cream.
I got Luke up and put him in his high chair then went to work mixing up batter. Once the first one was cooking I whipped up some whipping cream. Since I was using my hand mixer it is a must that the beaters have to be licked. I tapped the one off pretty well and then handed it to Luke. The adventure started from there.
He kept trying to bite it and wasn't getting much off. I took it from him and showed him how to lick up the once side. At that moment he fell in love with whipped cream.
It was at that moment that he fell in love with whipped cream. He licked it up and what he couldn't get with his tongue he got with his fingers.
He ended up with whip cream from ear to ear and didn't mind one bit.
At last his very first crape was done. I put in a tiny bit of our fresh blackberry jam and a small drop of whipped cream and it was gone with in a matter of minutes. He ate two full crapes before going down for a nap.
